Furthermore, oxidation catalytic converters are also used to reduce methane emissions (CH4) created by natural gas engines. When biogases, landfill gases or gases from sewage treatment plants are burned, oxidation catalytic converters can also efficiently treat the resulting formaldehyde emissions (CH2O).
